1. Can we pick what music gets played?

You may be as involved as you'd like in the music selection for your Wedding Reception. Normally, clients will provide some type of music list, usually between 5 and 30 songs. On average during the dancing portion of a reception, we play anywhere between 40 and 60 songs. This is why depending on the length of your list, we ask that you have 15 to 20 must plays, then the DJ's will know which songs are most important.

2. Why are there two DJ's at most wedding?

Two DJ's are provided at most wedding so we can help coordinate everything with you and the vendors you've hired. We will find the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen for the Bridal Party Dance, and we will let you know before any important activities happen. This will keep your reception running smooth. Also for couples who'd like our DJ's to be interactive, two DJ's allow one to pass out party props, teach dances, and interact with your guests while the other DJ continues to play music.

3. How many hours can the DJ's play for?

Our all-inclusive wedding package includes up to 6 total hours of playing time. This works well because most banquet halls provide packages between 5 & 6 hours. After 6 hours of playing time, overtime is always available for $75 per 1/2 hour.

4. How far in advance should we book Carl Charles "the Entertainer"?

Depending on availability, Ceremonies and Wedding Receptions are booked anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 years in advance…most couples book between 6 and 18 months in advance. We perform at 1 Reception a night, so the earlier you book with us the better chance you have securing MC & DJ Carl you were recommended or referred to.

5. What if we want a song that you don't have?

We guarantee 100% of your requests! As long as we have your final song list one month prior to the wedding, and the music is available to buy.

6. Can the DJ's use a fog machine, bubble machine, or confetti cannon?

We have fog machines, bubble machines, and confetti cannons available at no extra cost. Be sure to check with your banquet facility to verify they allow them (some do not).

7. How many appointments can I make with Carl Charles "the Entertainer"?

As many as you need! Most couples will have a minimum of two meetings, one initial meeting when you book, and at least one month prior to the wedding another final meeting to set all the specific details. However, if you need to come in for more meetings to listen to music or to ask any questions, give us a call!

8. What if I cannot make it into the office for a meeting?

If you are unable to make it into our office, we can always have a phone consultation to go through any details and to answer any and all questions.

9. Is set-up time included in your price?

You never have to pay for setup or takedown time. We typically arrive almost an hour prior to your scheduled start time and will be set up long before your first guest arrives. But it's on our own time! The same applies for takedown time after your event.

10. Do the DJ's take breaks?

Our services are truly uninterrupted and non-stop. From our scheduled start time to our scheduled end time we will never pause to take a break. Much unlike bands that need to stop and rest, we can just keep playing straight through your event!

11. Can we make a DO-NOT-PLAY list?

YES! Along with a playlist you can make a DO-NOT-PLAY list, including any song titles, artists, or styles of music you would not like to hear.

12. What if I don't know the name of a song?

If you are unsure of the title or artist of a song, ASK! Our office staff would be more than happy to research anything for you. Just let us know as much as you know about the song, and we'll go from there!

13. Do you charge a out-of-town fee?

Yes! Performing in Central, Northern or outside Florida requires 3 to 4 hours extra set-up and breakdown time. Call our office for specific fees.

14. How much is the deposit for booking?

The deposit to reserve your date is normally 30% of your quote. However, for weddings we make a slight exception and are asking $100.00, this secures everything and the balance is due the night of your reception. Final Payment is acceptable the date of your reception or anytime before.

15. Is tax or gratuity included in the pricing?

In Florida there is no sales tax on services. This means the agreed upon fee is the absolute final price; everything is included. Gratuity or tipping for our DJ's is not mandatory. If you feel DJ Carl have surpassed your expectations, and you'd like to further thank him, feel free to tip him. The DJ's would love the compliment.

16. Do you offer a contract or a written agreement?

Absolutely. Our contract is straightforward and written in plain English so that you can understand the terms before signing. It is signed by both parties and offers you a high level of protection and dependability. With the contract you can be assured that there will be no hidden extra charges or surprises at your event. The signed contract and deposit officially reserves your date and of course an executed copy will be sent to you for your records. If you have any questions or concerns about the terms, just ask!

17. Can you provide references?

We have several testimonials on file for you to view. We have previous clients that have graciously agreed to be contacted to discuss our services. To respect their time and effort, this information is available upon request.
